Epifex - The Story oF us

About fUs

For the record, not one of use has ever set foot in a recording studio.  Through much trial and error, the recording processes we used have been refined to match what we have to record with and what we have learned.  By listening to the evolution of our not just our songs, but the sound quality from our first two albums to our debut album now, you can literally hear how much we have learned.

Our music you is hear for you to listen.  If you want to buy it, then we thank you for your purchase and listening to our music.  If you download it, than we thank you for taking the time to consider us good enough that you would download our music.  If you just want to listen to it, we thank you because that is what our music is meant for.  It is made by us with meaning but meant for others to listen.  We would rather you tell us what you think in the Discussion section than paying for the free album.

The story oF us goes way back when Justin "Fus" and John Paul "JP" Balmforth first decided to try and make a rock band after seeing the works of Fus's older brothers punk rock band.  Unsuccessful at the time, the trial started a long path down a musical story.

Fus continued on playing guitar and taking lessons, being told by his guitar teacher that there was no more he could learn a few years later.  JP played guitar, but not to the extent that Fus was able to.  Throughout grade school, both Fus and JP took up playing the cello in orchestra.

The two eventually discovered bands such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, Incubus, 311, Sublime, Thrice, System of a Down, and many others.  "Flea" of the Red Hot Chili Peppers inspired JP to pick up bass and "Cello," as Jack Black would say, he found his instrument.  One day, they decided to meet up with some friends in the neighborhood to jam.  The story continues with our page "Previous Bands," which will give you a history of our music up until today.
